Problem: Research: Hypothesis: Materials: Safety goggles,Balloon,Plastic bottle,Warm water,Cold water Procedure: 1.)Stretch the opening of the balloon over the neck of the bottle. 2.)Observe the balloon at room temperature. Record observations. 3.)Place the bottle with the ballon in the warm water for about 30 seconds.
4.) Observe the ballon again and record any changes you see in the balloon. 5.)Remove the bottle and ballon from the warm water and quickly place it in the cold
water for about 30 seconds (or until it cools).
6.) Observe the ballon and record any changes you see in the ballon. Results:
Water Temperature
Prediction
Description of the Balloon
Room Temperature
it would just stay the same.
it was just folping on the said of the bottle.
Warm
it would expan.
it did expan.
Cold
it would contract.
it did contract.
Conclusion:
Are hypothis was correct because we said that that the bottle would expand in hot water and contractin cold water.are hypotiss was that the hot water would make the ballon would expaned with the bottle in the hot water and coract in the cold water. Well it expaned when in the hot water and contract in the cold. The expariment proved my hypotiss was right.
I can state a hypothesis related to the problem and procedure.
I can conduct research about concepts that are related to the topic I am investigating.
I can collect quantitative/qualitative data while conducting an experiment.
I can use the data in my results to draw a conclusion about what happened and why.
Overall, I can apply the scienctific method to solve a problem.
